General Description
Contemporary, light and airy best describe this 2nd floor apartment. In studio-like style, the living area includes both an entertainment stand and dining table for two; the kitchen comes with the requisite conveniences to enjoy a quiet night at home; the bedroom contains a double bed; a subtle pop of color against white walls defines the bathroom with bath and toilet.
The Living Room
White walls, curtains and a small table with steel wire chairs make the space feel bright and roomy. A black sofa, with a small handy circular table placed next to one side, is positioned across the room from a large entertainment cabinet with black TV placed on top. A table suitable for two is situated against the adjacent wall. In addition to two large windows, the room contains a lamp on the cabinet and a floor lamp on the far side of the couch. On the wall behind the TV is a large framed piece of art, with a bold red that stands out amidst the light décor and hardwood floors. Two colorful prints don the wall behind the sofa.
The Bedroom
A large white double bed, positioned against the corner of the room, has a bedside table placed near the open side o the bed. A large print hangs on the wall behind the bed and an interesting lantern-like light fixture hangs from above; the room is bright, with light shining through a large full-length window that overlooks the street below. A wardrobe with mirrored doors stands tall, almost floor-to-ceiling, providing amble storage while the room appears larger due to the mirrors.
The Kitchen
The kitchen itself is separated with a bar-like high wood countertop with chandelier hanging above. The outer-side, which faces a full-length window, contains storage space, including a coffee maker and toaster over on the upper shelf. Walk around the counter space to access glasses and tableware on two shelves that project out the sidewall as well as cooking utensils hanging from a bar underneath. Residents can access the sink, drying board, two-burner electric cooker in addition to necessary eating utensils.
The Bathroom
A small window, located high in the wall where the tub lies against, can be opened inward for added light or to allow a breeze to run through the room without compromising privacy. The bath and adjacent walls are faced with plain white tiles, indistinguishable from the white walls, toilet and sink in the room. A shower curtain provides a pop of colors, with a design composed of greens and browns. A mirror hangs over the sink area.
The Area/Environment
The 10th area of Paris noted for its convenient public transportation that allows access to other areas of the city as well as neighboring countries, including Luxembourg, Germany and Switzerland.The impressive Gare de l’Est, also the oldest train station in Paris, attracts visitors interested in viewing its historical “architecture, structure and inside fittings;” equally amazing to look at, the neoclassic styled Gare du Nord is famous for being part of the celebrity Channel Tunnel that runs between France and England. In addition to the cobbled streets and beautiful buildings, noted attractions include the Canal Saint-Martin, Musée de l’Éventail and the Saint-Vincent-de-Paul church.
