General Description
A two-story loft apartment contains a simple design with touches of artsy-flair. The living area furnishings alternate between the hard edges of pieces such as the cabinet and coffee table and a round table with chairs; as with most of the apartment, the bedroom is decorated in primarily black and white; the kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances; the bathroom contains a contemporary shower.
The Living Room
Wood floors add to the natural simplicity of the living room décor, off to the side, a staircase leads to the second floor. White walls and a coffee table centered in the room contrast the black sofa and large pouf; decorative art pieces on the drawer/stand the holds the TV as well as framed artwork and other items in a side nook primarily stay within the theme of contrasting dark/light. A circular table with two wood-seated stools provides additional contrast to the angular edges of many of the furniture pieces. A large picture window, with white curtains and black drapes pulled to the side bring light into the space, in addition to a floor lamp.
The Kitchen
Also located on the ground floor, the contemporary kitchen has tiled floors, shelves for glass- and table- wares and modern appliances including a sink, electric flattop burner, refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. It has generous counter space, with storage underneath; in addition, necessary utensils are provided.
The Bedroom
Located on the second floor, the bedroom has a carpet, shelves and a window that provides a view of the courtyard. A double bed with black headboard, positioned near a railing that overlooks the apartment, has a warm white comforter with black accents.
The Bathroom
Black and white tiles line the walls of the bathroom, which contains a bath with contemporary showerhead, sink and circular mirror.
The Area/Environment
Located near the Trocadero, a quiet spot that offers an incredible view of the Eiffel Tower, the loft is also not far from the Champs Elysees and Arc de Triomphe (located in the 8th district). The 16th area is home to Radio-France, Museum of Modern Art and Avenue Foch, formerly recognized as Avenue du Bois de Boulogne; in addition, it holds the National Museum of Sports as well as several sports arenas including the Parc des Princes, Stade Jean-Bouin and Roland Garros Stadium. Known as a safe, quiet district because of its many diplomatic embassies, residents also have the benefit of the services and shops; neighboring streets contains a bakery, butchery, pharmacy, doctor as well as café’s with terraces and restaurants.
