General Description
Dark wooden floors flow through each room of this modern apartment designed with comfort, light and space. The dark furniture of the living room contrasts the light coming from two large windows, while the adjacent dining area also contains black. Similar to a photographic negative, the bedroom is primarily light, with black accents; the small kitchen contains a bold red against the black and white included in of the room.
The Living Room
A brick wall contains two large windows that face out onto the streets of Paris; the unique layout continues with parquet floors, white walls and ceilings with painted wooden beams – parallel lines found in almost every room. The living room contains a two-toned gray-checkered area rug placed in the center of the room; opposite a sofa, furniture pieces include two armchairs and entertainment stand that holds a large plasma television set.
The Dining Room
Separated with a vertical black beam and peach walls, the dining room maintains the same motif with a black table with matching seating for four. Being the farthest away from the natural light from the windows, a mounted fixture provides a calming ambiance, shedding warm light over the dining area.
The Kitchen
An original layout of gray and white tiles line the kitchen walls, while cabinets overhead and below the sink are bold red. The kitchen comes with a large washbasin, two-burner stove, refrigerator and necessary tableware and utensils.
The Bedroom
Dark beams also run along the bedroom ceiling, creating a striking effect against the pale walls. A double bed is flanked with a nightstand on one side and small bureau on the other, each containing lamps; the wall behind contains two interesting wall fixtures; natural light brightens the room through a large window. In addition to in-set shelving is a large wardrobe.
The Bathroom
Simple white tiling is transformed with the use of a red grout, with the rest of the bathroom using white and red colours. The room includes a walk-in shower, washbasin with cabinet space below, built-in shelves and a large black-framed mirror.
The Area/Environment
The 18tharea of Paris has a history of attracting artists, musicians and comedians that continues today. Residents still enjoy shows at the Moulin Rouge and appreciate the architectural brilliance of the Sacré Cœur Basillica, as well as experiencing a wide-range of Parisian culture at local restaurants, cafés and bars, museum galleries and nearby shops.
