ID 352: Apartment in Paris, 11-th arrondissement
Week: €1,183.00 (Agency fee is included)
General Description
Located on the 5th French floor of a 1950s building with an elevator, retro elements within the apartment itself give the space a fun and unique atmosphere. The space is bright and open, with an artsy flair exemplified in the clear seating and zebra rug in the living room, lively houseplants, cool lampshades, pieces of art and other interesting touches throughout the space.
The Living Room
Two glassy chairs situated atop a zebra throw rug bring a retro flair to the living room, which also contains a long sofa with decorative partial back, a glass dining table with four white seats, true parquet flooring, large house plants, a chandelier and long credenza; interesting pieces of sculpture and art bring elements of different cultures into the room.
The Bedroom
An airy room with wood floors, this space is primarily white – including the walls, light fixtures, two ottomans and protruding shelf. A bed donned in gray bedding is positioned in the center of the room; a yellowish-amber canvas with drawing and small red toy guitar stands out against the whiteness of the room. A large window is a strong source of light and provides a wondrous view of the outdoor courtyard.
The Office (Second Sleeping Area)
The office contains two glass tables and chairs to work on; a television is placed on the floor in front of a black sofa, which converts into a bed. In addition, there is access to the Internet.
The Kitchen
The spacious kitchen contains a countertop that runs atop of the cabinets and along a sidewall to create a bar-like area, of which two small square stools are placed in front. Equipped with modern conveniences, such as a four-burner stovetop and oven, overhead hood, sink with draining board, washing machine and refrigerator, the kitchen also provides plenty of cabinet and storage space for utensils, tableware and cookware.
The Bathroom
Lined with blue tiles, the bathroom contains a bathtub/shower, washbasin and mirror.
The Toilet
The toilet is separate from the bathroom.
The Area/Environment
The building is located between Le Marais and Bastille – four minutes from the Place des Vosges and near the second largest Opera house in Paris. Popular for a range of activities, residents enjoy the many cafés, restaurants and bars; common outings for visitors also include the Musée du Fumeur and Edith Piaf Museum. For quiet nights, residents can stay in and enjoy the magnificent view of the city below.
