ID 410: Apartment in Paris, 17-th arrondissement
Week: €1,250.00 (Agency fee is included)
General Description
Reminiscent of a candy-box, the ancient pale pink walls that run throughout the entire apartment provide an elegant and relaxing atmosphere. Fashion designer Stella Cadente played a major role in the décor, including choosing minnow details that bring the space together. Despite the feminine pink colors, the elegant and romantic ambiance makes this a comfortable retreat for men and women alike. The apartment includes a living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.
The Living Room
The spacious living area is truly a unique combination of elegance that melds old with new. Detailed white molding stands out against the pale pink walls, with old-fashioned intricate design patterns toward the ceiling. An area rug covers the wood floors with seating options including a sofa/bed, large ottoman, a large and small dark armchair with brown upholstery with matching pouf; a small table with delicate lamp is placed between the couch and armchair that sit in front of inset shelves. Between the chairs is a fireplace with a frilly lamp and birdcage set on the mantle; a large mirror surrounded by white molding is positioned above the mantle. To the side, is a plasma TV. Plaid drapes and an eclectic combination of art pieces make for a one-of-a-kind room.
The Dining Area
Within the living area is a glass table with a wrought iron support designed by Cadente. Flush against a wall, with modern fiber optics that yields a sparkling light-effect and contrasts the more classical light fixtures; the table has four chairs.
The Bedroom
Doors with three glass panels open into the bedroom, where a four-poster bed is centered in the room. On the wall behind the bed is a mirror adorned with cherubs and a veil that covers the head of the bed. Two delicate nightstands with lamps are placed at either side of the bed; cockerel feathers hang from the bottom of the lamps shades as well as the curtains – a definite example of haute couture and Cadente’s eye for detail. A small gilded seat is positioned at the foot of the bed; additional features of the room include built-in shelves, a dresser, folding long dressing mirror, a small mirror with a gilded frame design in a similar fashion to the molding and a low upholstered bench in front of the full-length window.
The Kitchen
The kitchen contains a typical Parisian tiled floor, which matches the pink paint and large brown tiles that line the wall. Almost all-white enamel, the kitchen also has a large counter space, cabinets, a sink, refrigerator, oven, stovetop, washing machine, toaster, coffee pot and necessary utensils.
The Bathroom
Faced with large brown tiles and pink accents, the bathroom contains a freestanding washbasin, toilet and massaging jet shower; in addition, there is a towel rack, hooks for robes and a well-lit mirror. Curtains divide the bathroom into three areas: restroom, sink/mirror and walk-in shower.
The Area/Environment
The 17th area of Paris is noted for the ParcMonceau as well as its proximity to the popular Champs-Elysées and Arc de Triomphe. Residents also enjoy nearby cafés, trattorias and restaurants as well as shops and boutiques.
