General Description
Tones of reds run through this one-bedroom luxury apartment, which has a subtle retro vibe. The Living Room
Warm and inviting, with its red and earthy tones, this spacious living room features a comfortable sofa bed, two arm chairs upholstered in a striped fabric that picks up various colors throughout the area, two tables positioned together to form a larger coffee table positioned on a light colored area rug, an end table on rollers, lamps and a bookcase; a two-tiered movable entertainment center contains a television and stereo system, residents also have access to unlimited Internet. A dining table that seats up to four is located on the far side of the room, across from the couch. Framed paintings, curtains and floral arrangements add to the richness of the room; a stairwell leads up to the bedroom.
The Bedroom
Stairs lead directly to this large, spacious mezzanine bedroom. Slanted walls on both sides of the room have windows that provide illumination as well as a view of the street below; along this wall are two white armchairs, separated by a small wood table with a lamp. The foot of the bed is positioned on the opposite side of the room, near a dark wood beam not far from the stairwell. The room also contains an interesting floor lamp, sizeable wardrobe, small throw rug covering the parquet floor near the side of the bed as well as paintings and flowers. A bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom.
The Kitchen
The separate kitchen has a short bar/counter area, a convenient place to place mail, magazines or grocery bags before unloading them; behind are two shelves with enough space to hold smaller appliances such as a coffee maker or mixer – both of which come furnished with the kitchen. Spacious cabinets, with white vertical panels, are located above and below the countertop and separated by a couple rows of light tiles. A sink and electric cooker with two flat burners are built into the counter; additional appliances include a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. A cabinet with glass windows can be used to display fine dining ware, while drawers are handy for utensils; the kitchen is fully equipped with all necessary household items.
The First Bathroom
Accessible through the bedroom, this bathroom has the same slanted sidewalls with windows. The mostly white room contains a green accent wall and strip made of mosaics in multiple shades of green. A cabinet opens up for storage underneath the sink; a well-lit mirror and small ledge are on the wall behind the washbasin. In addition, there is a toilet, built-in cupboards, a dryer and bathtub.
The Second Bathroom
White tiles line the walls in contrast to the light tan tiles on the floor of second bathroom. This extra bathroom contains a washbasin, with storage space underneath, a mirror lit from above, a towel rack, built-in cupboards, a dryer, toilet and shower.
The Area/Environment
The 11th area of Paris provides residents activities during the day and night. Nearby places of historical or cultural significance include Place de la Bastille and its New Opera House – the 2nd largest in the city, Musée du Fumeur and Edith Piaf (renown singer) museum, the embankment of the River Seine, St. Martin Canal, Ile St. Louis and Notre Dame Cathedral. Most famous for its active nightlife, the most popular hot spots are found on Rue Oberkampf, Rue de la Roquette and Rue de Lappe. Throughout the district, residents can experience a range of Parisian customs and cuisine at the many shops, sites, bars, cafés and restaurants.
